Overview

Auto Mode and Manual Mode determine how graphics appear on your stream during a match. In Auto Mode, graphics automatically display when match events are logged in the LiveScore app or via external data providers. In Manual Mode, you control exactly when graphics appear by triggering them from the Control Room.

You can switch between Auto Mode and Manual Mode at any time from the Overlay Settings page.

Auto Mode

When Auto Mode is enabled, graphics automatically appear on your overlay when match events are logged. For example, when a goal is scored in the LiveScore app, the scoreboard updates automatically and goal graphics display without any manual action.

How to enable Auto Mode:

1. Navigate to the Matches section

2. Find your match and click the drop-down arrow to expand match details

3. Click the three-dot menu next to your overlay

4. Select Settings

5. Set Control Mode to Auto Mode

6. Click Save

Graphics will now appear automatically when match events are logged.

Manual Mode

When Manual Mode is enabled, graphics only appear when you manually trigger them from the Control Room. This gives you precise control over when each graphic displays on your stream.

How to enable Manual Mode:

1. Navigate to the Matches section

2. Find your match and click the drop-down arrow to expand match details

3. Click the three-dot menu next to your overlay

4. Select Settings

5. Set Control Mode to Manual Mode

6. Click Save

Graphics will now only appear when you trigger them from the Control Room.

Using the Control Room in Manual Mode

When your overlay is set to Manual Mode, access the Control Room to show and hide graphics during your broadcast.

To access the Control Room:

1. From the Matches section, expand your match

2. Click the three-dot menu next to your overlay

3. Select Control Room

The Control Room opens, showing all available graphics controls for your overlay. Click any graphic to show it on the live stream. Click again to hide it.

Available controls vary by sport and configuration, but typically include scoreboard, player graphics, statistics, lower thirds, event graphics, and custom graphics.

Controller Overlays

If your overlay is set as a Controller Overlay in the advanced settings, it can control graphics on multiple overlays simultaneously. When you show a graphic in the Control Room of a controller overlay, that graphic appears on all overlays assigned under that controller.

This is useful for multi-stream broadcasts where you want to display the same graphic across multiple outputs at once.

Switching Between Modes During a Match

You can change the control mode at any time, even during a live match. Navigate to Overlay Settings and switch between Auto Mode and Manual Mode as needed. The change takes effect immediately.
