Understanding Status Indicators

Status indicators follow a color code: gray (idle), yellow/orange (processing - streams only), red (live), warning icon (no input assigned). Numerical indicators show how many components are assigned.

Overview

Status indicators provide real-time feedback on the health and state of four critical broadcast components: streams, graphic overlays, inputs, and destinations. These visual signals appear throughout the Matches section and help you quickly identify which components are active, which are idle, and which require attention.

All indicators follow a consistent color code system that makes monitoring multiple matches simple and efficient.

Color Code System

Gray

The component exists but is not active. This is the idle state.

Yellow/Orange

Processing - the stream is starting up. This color appears only on stream indicators while the system initializes the stream and connects destinations. A stream typically takes 2-3 minutes to initialize.

Red

The component is live and running. Red indicates active operation.

Warning Icon (Gray)

No input assigned. This appears on stream indicators when a stream has been created but has no input assigned to it. A stream cannot start without an input assigned.

Numerical Indicators

When you see a number on an indicator (for example, "2" on the stream icon), this shows how many of that component are assigned to the match.

To see details of each component:

1. Click the drop-down arrow next to the match in the Matches table.

2. The expanded view displays all assigned components with their individual status indicators.

Stream Indicators

Stream status follows the full color range:

* Gray: Stream created but not started

* Yellow: Stream is starting up (initialization in progress)

* Red: Stream is live and running

* Gray warning icon: Stream has no input assigned and cannot start

Overlay Indicators

Overlay status uses two states:

* Gray: Overlay created but not in use

* Red: Overlay is active (either linked to a live LIGR stream OR the production URL is being used in external software like vMix or OBS)

Input Indicators

Input status shows connection state:

* Gray: Input created but not receiving video

* Red: Input is receiving video feed

Destination Indicators

Destination status provides detailed connection feedback:

* Gray: Destination configured but not sending

* Yellow: Attempting to connect to destination

* Warning + Retry icon: Failed to connect (retries every approximately 20 seconds)

* Red: Successfully connected and streaming to destination

Important: If the destination indicator is red, LIGR is successfully connected and streaming. When red, troubleshooting should focus on the destination platform (for example, YouTube receiving settings, correct event selection, visibility settings) rather than LIGR configuration.

Where Status Indicators Appear

Status indicators are visible in:

* The Matches table (Live and Upcoming tab, Not Started tab, Completed tab)

* The expanded match view (click the drop-down arrow next to a match)

* The Stream Monitoring page (accessed via View from stream actions)

* The Multiview page in the Streaming section
