Overview
Automatic compilation templates automatically generate highlight compilations based on rules you set. Templates run on a schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) or trigger when matches finish, combining highlights from selected events into one video without manual intervention.
You'll use templates when you want compilations created automatically - for example, a weekly highlight reel that generates every Sunday evening, or individual match compilations that create immediately after each match ends.
Prerequisites
* Highlights must be captured during your streams (Generate Highlights toggle must be enabled in stream settings)
* At least one completed match with captured highlights
* Competition and stream configured in Assets and Matches sections
How to Create an Automatic Compilation Template
1. Navigate to Multimedia > Compilations
2. Click the Templates tab
3. Click Create Template in the top right corner
4. Enter a template name
5. Select the sport
6. Optional: Toggle on Include Club Moments (includes manually created moments in addition to auto-captured highlights)
7. Optional: Toggle on Available to Club Portals
8. Click Add Event and configure match events:
* Select the event type
* Optional: Select a tag to filter highlights
* Adjust lead and lag (Pro tip: Use shorter lead/lag for compilations so the video isn't too long)
9. Select Recurrence:
* Manual: You trigger the template yourself
* Daily: Runs every day at a specific time
* Weekly: Runs on a specific day of the week at a specific time
* Monthly: Runs on a specific day of the month at a specific time
* When Match is Finished: Triggers automatically when a match is marked as finished
10. Select Output Options:
* All in One Video Ordered by Event: All matches combined, grouped by event type
* All in One Video Ordered by Match: All matches combined, in match order
* One Video Per Match: Separate compilation for each match selected
11. Select a competition
12. Optional: Select pre-roll and post-roll videos
13. Select a stream (all matches under this stream will trigger the template)
14. Optional: Click Add Competition to include multiple competitions in one template
15. Click Create Template
The template is saved in the Templates tab. When the recurrence condition is met, compilations automatically generate and appear in the Videos tab.
How Templates Work
When the recurrence condition is met, the template automatically generates a compilation based on your configured rules.
Example: If you set weekly recurrence for Sundays at 6 PM and select a stream with three matches completed that week, the template generates a compilation of all three matches every Sunday at 6 PM.
Important: Only events that were actually captured during the original stream will appear in the compilation. If you select "Penalty" but no penalties were logged during those matches, nothing will be included for that event.
Tips
* Use shorter lead/lag times (5-10 seconds) for compilations to keep the total video length manageable
* Set up weekly templates to run Sunday evening after all weekend matches for consistent highlight reels
* Use "When Match is Finished" recurrence with "One Video Per Match" output to get individual match compilations immediately after each game
* Review templates monthly to ensure they're still generating useful compilations and adjust lead/lag times based on video performance
