How to Share Highlights to Social Media

Learn how to connect social accounts, share highlights with scheduling options, troubleshoot failed shares, and set up auto-publishing.

Before You Can Share

You must connect your social media accounts before you can share highlights. Navigate to Profile > Connections, click Connect New Account, select X.com, YouTube, or Facebook, and follow the authorization flow to connect your account. Once connected, the account will appear in your account list.

How to Share a Highlight

Once your accounts are connected, sharing a highlight only takes a few steps. First, navigate to Multimedia > Highlights and click on the highlight you want to share to open its full-screen view. Then click Share below the video player to open the sharing options.

1. Select a connected social media account from the dropdown.

2. Choose when to post - either post immediately or schedule the post for a specific date and time.

3. Add a post title.

4. Optionally, click Add Another Social Network if you want to post to multiple accounts simultaneously.

5. Check the max duration and max file size limits displayed on screen to make sure your highlight meets the requirements for the platform(s) you've selected.

6. Click Create Post to finish sharing your highlight.

Platform Limits

Different social platforms have different file size and duration limits. The share screen displays these limits for the platform you've selected. If your highlight exceeds these limits, you'll need to edit it to reduce duration or file size before sharing.

If Sharing Fails

If a share attempt fails, check the following in order:

1. Is the social media account still connected? Go to Profile > Connections and verify the account is listed. If not, reconnect it.

2. Does the highlight meet the platform's requirements? Check the max duration and max file size shown on the share screen. If your highlight exceeds these, edit it to reduce duration or file size.

3. Are you within the platform's posting limits? Some platforms limit how many posts you can make per hour or per day.

Auto-Publish Highlights

You can configure highlights to automatically post to connected social media accounts the moment they finish rendering. This setting is configured in stream settings when creating or editing a stream - simply toggle on Auto-Publish Highlights. When enabled, highlights generated from match events will automatically post without manual sharing.
