Setting up RTMP Destinations in LIGR Live lets you send your live match streams out to external platforms like YouTube Live, Facebook Live, or any third-party RTMP endpoint.
What is an RTMP Destination?
A Destination is where your live stream is sent once it leaves LIGR Live. RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol) is the streaming protocol used to push video from LIGR to these external platforms.
You'll set up RTMP Destinations when you want to:
• Broadcast a match to YouTube Live
• Stream to Facebook Live
• Send your stream to a custom RTMP endpoint (such as a club website or another broadcasting platform)
• Send the same stream to multiple platforms at once
Prerequisites
Before setting up an RTMP Destination, make sure you have:
• An active LIGR Live account with permission to manage Connections (Owner or Admin role)
• The RTMP URL (server URL) from your target platform
• The Stream Key from your target platform
• A match or stream in LIGR Live that you want to send out
Accessing Connections
1. Open your LIGR Live dashboard.
2. Click your profile area to open Profile & Account.

3. Select RTMP as the Destination type.
4. Enter a clear name for the Destination (for example, "Club YouTube Channel" or "Facebook Match Page").
5. Paste the RTMP URL from your target platform into the Server URL field.
6. Paste the Stream Key from your target platform into the Stream Key field.
7. Save the Destination.

Finding Your RTMP URL and Stream Key
Each platform provides its RTMP details in a slightly different place:
• YouTube Live: YouTube Studio → Go Live → Stream settings
• Facebook Live: Live Producer → Select "Streaming software" → Stream key section
• Custom RTMP endpoint: Contact your platform provider for the server URL and key
Always keep your Stream Key private. Anyone with the key can stream to your channel.
Assigning an RTMP Destination to a Match
Once your Destination is saved, you can send a stream to it:
1. Go to the Matches tab and open the match you want to stream.
2. Open the match's Stream View or streaming setup page.
3. Select your saved RTMP Destination from the list of available Destinations.
4. Confirm the selection and start your stream when ready.

Sending to Multiple Destinations
You can assign more than one Destination to a single match if you want to broadcast to multiple platforms at the same time. Add each RTMP Destination separately in Connections, then select all the Destinations you want to use in the match's streaming setup.
Tips
• Give each Destination a descriptive name so operators can quickly identify the correct one on match day.
• Test your RTMP Destination with a short private stream before going live for the first time.
• Keep a record of which Destinations belong to which channels, especially if you manage multiple clubs or competitions.
• Rotate your Stream Keys periodically if your streaming platform allows it, for security.
Common Issues
Stream not appearing on the destination platform
• Double-check that the RTMP URL and Stream Key are copied correctly with no extra spaces.
• Confirm the destination platform is ready to receive a stream (for example, YouTube sometimes requires you to "Go Live" on their side).
Stream disconnects shortly after starting
• Verify your Stream Key hasn't expired or been regenerated on the destination platform.
• Check your encoder's Input to LIGR is stable before troubleshooting the outbound Destination.
Destination not showing in the match setup
• Confirm the Destination was saved successfully in Connections.
• Refresh the match page and try again.
Invalid Stream Key error
• Regenerate the Stream Key on the destination platform and update it in your LIGR RTMP Destination.
