At times, when viewing a stream on the Stream Monitoring page, the performance of the WEBRTC player may appear pixelated. This can be due to network conditions, browser performance, or other factors. To verify that the stream itself is functioning correctly, you can perform a quick safety check by opening the feed in OBS. OBS provides a direct and reliable way to view the stream, ensuring that the source quality is as expected. If the stream appears clear in OBS but remains pixelated in the WEBRTC player, the issue is likely related to playback conditions rather than the stream itself.

You can download OBS at this link.

After downloading and installing OBS, open the software. To check a specific match, you'll need its RTMP Pull Destination link. You can find instructions on retrieving this URL in the article, which provides a detailed guide on Inputs & Destinations here.

Make sure a Pull Destination is set up in your account before proceeding. On the Stream Monitoring page, you'll find the URL you need to copy to your clipboard, highlighted in the red box below. The area marked in green represents what will be displayed in OBS.

Upon opening OBS, you’ll see the screen below:

  • Click the + icon at the bottom of the Sources section

  • Click VLC Video Source

  • Give your input a name. In the example below, it is labelled LIGR Pull

  • Click OK

  • Click the + icon

  • Then click Add Path/URL

  • In the Add entry to 'Playlist' field, paste the relevant Pull Destination link from your LIGR account

  • Click OK, that small window will close, click OK again

After a few seconds the stream will begin playing in OBS. If the footage in OBS is clear and uninterrupted, this confirms that the stream itself is stable and should reach its final destination, such as YouTube without issues. The stream may not fit the canvas perfectly when it first loads, but you can adjust the size to suit your needs.

  • Right click on the Source, in the below example LIGR Pull

  • Navigate to Transform

  • Click Fit to screen
