Whether you’re broadcasting a local sports event or a major league game, the ability to tailor the length of your highlights is crucial for capturing the most impactful moments. This article will guide you through the simple steps to fine-tune your highlight segments, ensuring your audience doesn’t miss a beat of the action.

To make use of the adjust highlight feature, follow the steps outlined below:

  • Navigate to the Multimedia tab located on the left-hand side panel

  • Find the highlight you want to modify.

  • Move your cursor over it and click on See Details.

  • Choose Adjust Highlight from the options that appear beneath the highlight.

The clip has been loaded, and the red section beneath it represents the duration of the clip, positioned accurately on the match record timeline. Users can modify the precise location of the highlight on the timeline or alter the lead and lag times as needed.

Modifying the Start Position of Highlights

Refine the start position of the clip on the match timeline by dragging the circle to your desired spot. After finalizing your choice, press Set Adjustment. This will shift the clip to the chosen location, applying any preset lead and lag durations from the settings. If you're happy, click Apply Adjustment. A new clip will be created in the Clips section of the users dashboard.

Modifying the Duration of Highlights

To adjust the duration before (lead) and after (lag) the event was logged, modify the values in the Lead and Lag fields and hit return or tab away from the field to see the updated duration. This will cause the red section on the timeline to expand or contract according to your preferences.

The image below showcases a Lead and Lag time of 20 seconds each, indicated by the red line on the timeline.

Adjusting the Lead and Lag times to 40 seconds each will result in the timeline appearance as shown in the image below.

If you're happy, click Apply Adjustment. The newly edited duration for the clip will have successfully been changed.
