What is the Control Room?

The page your operator uses to put graphics on air: what it does, who it's for, and why it makes match day easier.

The Control Room is where your graphics go on air. It's one browser tab that holds everything for a match: the live match data on the left, and every graphic you need on the right.

A goal is logged on a phone at the ground, and seconds later it's in your Control Room. Click it, and the goal graphic is ready with the scorer's name and number already filled in. Preview it, put it on air, done.

What they do

The person who sets up your graphics

Builds the control room before match day: picks the theme, lays out the sections and chooses which controls the operator gets.

The operator

Runs the Control Room on match day and puts graphics on air.

The live scorer

Logs goals, cards and subs in the LiveScore app. Those events feed the Control Room.

On a smaller production, one person can do all three.

Why it makes match day easier

  • Nobody types names on the day. Player names, numbers, badges and scores come straight from your match data.

  • The right graphic comes to you. Click a goal, a card, a sub, a team or a player, and the room shows just the graphics for it.

  • Nothing goes out wrong. Preview every graphic before it goes on air.

  • Laid out your way. Split graphics into coloured sections that follow your rundown.

  • Hands on or hands off. Run graphics yourself in Manual mode, or let an Automated Game Plan run them in Auto mode.

  • Scales with you. The same room works for a club match or a three-day tournament.

Your path through this guide

  1. Set up your control room: create it, connect it to your match, then add sections, graphics, controls and context.

  2. Run your match: get ready, then follow a match from start to finish.

  3. Take it further: bigger tournaments and extra feeds.
