Just tweak the look
Edit the competition's current theme profile. See Editing a theme profile.
Switch to a different theme
Go to Themes > Theme Management and open the new theme.
Style it the way you want. See Styling your theme.
Create a theme profile and choose the competition. See Creating a theme profile.
Generate or assign a game plan and control room for the new profile.
Good to know: Your game plan and control room are built for one theme's graphics. When you switch themes, set up a game plan and control room for the new profile too.
