Overview

The Not Started tab shows matches that were created in the system but have not yet begun. These matches exist with all their configuration details (teams, venue, time, competition) but haven't had their scoring or streaming initiated.

A match remains in the Not Started tab until one of two things happens:

* Someone starts scoring the match using the LiveScore app

* An external data provider begins sending match event data

* You start a stream for the match

Once any of these actions occur, the match moves out of Not Started and into the Live and Upcoming tab.

How to Access Not Started Matches

1. Click the Matches tab in the left sidebar

2. Click the Not Started tab at the top of the page

All matches that have been created but never started appear in this list.

What You Can Do with Not Started Matches

From the Not Started tab, you can:

* View match details by clicking the drop-down arrow to expand the match

* Edit match settings through the Actions menu (three-dot menu)

* Add streams to the match

* Add overlays to the match

* Configure stream and overlay settings

* Delete matches using bulk actions (select the checkbox, then use bulk delete)

* Cancel matches using bulk actions

Editing Match Settings

You can edit match settings for matches in the Not Started tab:

1. Click the three-dot Actions menu for the match

2. Select Settings

3. Edit any match details (teams, time, venue, period configuration, player settings, etc.)

4. Click Save

Important: Once a match has started (moved out of Not Started), you can no longer edit match settings.

Why Matches Stay in Not Started

Common reasons a match remains in Not Started:

* The match was created for scheduling purposes but the event hasn't begun yet

* Streams and overlays were configured but not actually started

* No live scorer was assigned or the live scorer hasn't opened the LiveScore app

* The match was created as a placeholder and may not actually be broadcast

Moving Matches Out of Not Started

To move a match out of Not Started, you need to initiate scoring or streaming:

* Open the LiveScore app and start scoring the match

* Start a stream that has been configured for the match

* Connect an external data provider that begins sending match events

Once any of these actions occur, the match immediately moves to the Live and Upcoming tab.

Bulk Actions for Not Started Matches

You can perform bulk actions on multiple Not Started matches:

1. Select the checkbox next to each match you want to modify

2. Click the bulk action button at the top of the screen

Available bulk actions include:

* Cancel Match: Cancels selected matches and moves them to the Completed tab with "Cancelled" status

* Change Live Scorer: Reassign the live scorer for multiple matches

Connection to Other Sections

Not Started matches have been fully configured in the Matches section - they have teams, venues, and times assigned from Assets. They may have streams and overlays configured from the Streaming section. The only difference between a Not Started match and a Live match is that scoring or streaming hasn't been initiated yet.
