How to Edit and Trim Moments

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Editing and trimming Moments in LIGR Live lets you refine tagged clips from a match recording so they capture exactly the action you want before turning them into Highlights or a Compilation.

What Are Moments?

Moments are short tagged clips within a match recording. They are either generated automatically from Match Facts captured in the LiveScore App (such as goals, cards, or substitutions) or added manually after a match. Editing a Moment lets you adjust its start and end points, change its title, or update its metadata.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

• A completed Match with a recording available

• The correct permissions to edit media (Owner, Admin, User, or Media Viewer with edit access)

• Match Facts recorded during the match, or manually tagged Moments

How to Access Moments

1. Log in to LIGR Live.

2. Open the Match you want to work with.

3. Navigate to the Multimedia section for that Match.

4. Select the Moments tab to view all tagged clips.

How to Edit a Moment

1. From the Moments list, click on the Moment you want to edit.

2. The Moment editor will open, showing the clip with its current in and out points.

3. Update the Moment details as needed:

Title — rename the Moment to reflect the event

Event type — confirm or change the Match Fact type associated with the clip

Player or Team — adjust the player or team tagged to the Moment

How to Trim a Moment

Trimming adjusts the start and end points of a Moment so only the relevant action is included.

1. Open the Moment you want to trim.

2. Use the playback controls to scrub to your preferred start point.

3. Set the new In Point (start of the clip).

4. Scrub to your preferred end point.

5. Set the new Out Point (end of the clip).

6. Preview the trimmed Moment to check the timing.

7. Click Save to confirm the trim.

Tips

• Trim Moments slightly wider than the key action so the clip feels natural rather than abrupt.

• Rename Moments with clear, descriptive titles to make it easier to find them when building a Compilation.

• Check that the correct player and team are tagged — this ensures Moments appear correctly when filtered.

• Preview before saving to avoid cutting off a celebration or reaction.

Common Issues

Moment won't save after trimming — ensure both the In and Out points are set and that the Out point is after the In point.

Clip appears blank or black — the match recording may still be processing. Wait for processing to complete and try again.

Moment is missing from the list — confirm the Match Fact was captured in the LiveScore App, or add the Moment manually from the recording.
