How to Reorder Clips in a Compilation

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Reordering clips in a Compilation lets you control the exact sequence of Highlights that play back in your finished reel.

Overview

A Compilation is a collection of Highlight clips stitched together into a single video. When you build a Compilation from one or more matches, the clips appear in the order they were added by default. You can rearrange them to tell a better story, match commentary pacing, or lead with your strongest moments.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the following ready:

• At least one Compilation already created in the Multimedia tab

• Two or more Highlight clips added to that Compilation

• Permission to edit Multimedia content in your Organisation

Reordering Clips in a Compilation

Follow these steps to change the order of clips inside an existing Compilation.

1. In the left sidebar, click Multimedia.

2. Select Compilations from the Multimedia sub-menu.

3. Click the Compilation you want to edit to open it.

4. Locate the list of clips included in the Compilation.

5. Click and drag a clip to move it up or down within the list.

6. Release the clip in its new position.

7. Repeat for any other clips you want to reorder.

8. Save your changes so the new order is applied to the Compilation.

Previewing the New Order

After reordering, it's a good idea to preview the Compilation before sharing or downloading it.

1. Open the Compilation from the Compilations list.

2. Play the Compilation from the start.

3. Confirm the clips play in the sequence you arranged.

4. If something is out of place, return to the clip list and drag it into the correct position.

Tips

• Lead with your strongest Highlight to grab viewer attention early.

• Group related Match Facts together (for example, all goals before all cards) for a cleaner narrative.

• If you are building a Compilation from multiple matches, alternate between matches to keep pacing varied.

• Rename the Compilation after reordering if the new sequence changes its focus or theme.

Common Issues

Clips won't drag: Refresh the page and try again. Make sure you are clicking the drag area of the clip, not the clip title or thumbnail.

Order reverts after saving: Confirm you clicked Save rather than navigating away. Check your user role has edit access to Multimedia.

A clip is missing from the list: The Highlight may have been deleted from the source match. Re-add it from the match's Highlights section before reordering.

Preview plays in old order: Clear your browser cache or reload the Compilation page to load the latest saved sequence.
