Overview
You can change which overlay is assigned to a stream while the stream is live from the Stream Monitor. The Stream Monitor is where you start, watch and control the stream for a match. Its Stream control area lets you pick a different overlay without stopping the stream.
The Stream Monitor is one of the main places where you can change overlay assignments for streams. You can also use the side panel in the expanded match view or the stream settings.
How to Change Overlay Assignment from the Stream Monitor
Start by opening the Stream Monitor for the match's stream. You can do this by clicking View from the stream's Action Menu in the expanded match view. You can also click the white space of a stream row to open the side control panel, then select View.
Find the Stream control area on the Stream Monitor.
Open the overlay picker.
Select the overlay you want to put on the stream, for example Main Feed.
The overlay assignment changes immediately once selected.
This changes what every viewer of the stream sees, so double-check you've picked the right overlay before selecting it.
When to Use This Method
The Stream Monitor's overlay controls are especially useful during live broadcasts, when you need to switch overlays quickly without leaving the page. You can change the assignment while you keep an eye on the stream. The player shows the program output, and the Input card shows whether the camera feed is coming in.
Note: Reassigning an overlay from one stream to another moves it. The overlay will no longer be assigned to the original stream.
Other Locations for Changing Overlay Assignments
Besides the Stream Monitor, you can also change overlay assignments from the following places:
The side panel: Click the white space of a stream row in the expanded match view to open the side panel, then use the overlay assignment dropdown.
Stream settings: Open the UPDATE STREAM SETTINGS window from the Stream Monitor's three-dot menu (Stream Settings). Go to the Overlay section, choose the overlay in the Overlay field and click Update.
Hiding Graphics and Adjusting Audio
If you need to take the graphics off the stream entirely, switch on Hide graphics in Stream control. Switch it off again to bring the overlay back. Like changing the overlay, this changes what every viewer sees.
Stream control is also where you set the input and overlay audio, mix the left and right channels, or mute a channel.
