Default graphics let you set which persistent graphics appear automatically for each Theme Instance, so every output stream shows the right look without manual setup each match.
What Default Graphics Do
Themes are built and maintained at the platform level by the LIGR team. A Theme Instance is a customer-level configuration of a Theme, assigned at the Competition overlay level (Competition, Settings, Streams and Overlays, Overlay Settings). A Competition can have multiple overlays, each with its own Theme Instance and Game Plan.
When you run multiple overlays (for example, one for a full media broadcast and another for a scoreboard-only feed), each Theme Instance can have its own default graphics that load automatically when a Match starts.
Default graphics typically include:
• Persistent graphics shown throughout the Match
• Any additional overlays tied to that output
• Instance-specific variations of shared graphics

Prerequisites
Before configuring default graphics per Theme Instance, make sure you have:
• A Competition created in the Assets tab
• A Theme assigned to that Competition by the LIGR team
• At least one overlay with a Theme Instance configured on the Competition
• The graphics you want to use as defaults available within the assigned Theme
Configuring Default Graphics
Step 1: Open the Competition
1. Go to the Assets tab.
2. Select Competitions.
3. Open the Competition you want to configure.
Step 2: Access the Theme Instance
1. Navigate to Settings, then Streams and Overlays.
2. Open Overlay Settings to see the list of overlays configured on the Competition.
3. Select the overlay whose Theme Instance you want to configure.

Step 3: Set the Default Graphics
1. Within the Theme Instance, locate the default graphics settings.
2. Choose the persistent graphic that should load by default for this instance.
3. Assign any additional default overlays this instance should use.
4. Save your changes.
Step 4: Repeat for Each Overlay
If your Competition uses multiple overlays (for example, a full media output and a scoreboard-only output), repeat the steps above for each Theme Instance so every output carries its correct default graphics.
Tips
• Keep naming clear and consistent across Theme Instances (for example, "Media Output" and "Scoreboard Only") so it is easy to identify which overlay is which.
• Review the Game Plan attached to each overlay after setting defaults, to confirm the correct graphics are being triggered.
• Test each Theme Instance on a practice Match before going live to confirm the default graphics load as expected.
Common Issues
• Default graphic not appearing on output: Confirm the graphic is included in the Theme assigned to that overlay, and that it is set as the default on the correct Theme Instance.
• Wrong graphic loads at Match start: Check whether a Game Plan playlist on that overlay is overriding the default. Remember that within a Game Plan, when two playlists share the same priority the first built fires.
• Changes do not carry through to an existing Match: Default graphic changes typically apply to new Matches. You may need to recreate the Match to pick up the updated defaults.
